What are my shipping options?  

We use either UPS or USPS, depending on your location. Our shipper chooses the best method available for each order.

 

How are your shipping charges calculated?  

Our shipping charges are a flat rate, depending upon the weight of your order.

 

What happens if I entered an incorrect address?  

We use a completely integrated system to ensure that errors are not made. If our customer has made a mistake with their entry, we will take every step possible to re-route the shipment. However, any additional charges as a result of customer error will be billed directly back to the customer.

 

What if My Order is Lost or Damaged in Transit?  

All our shipments are tracked and insured.

 

Shipment Damage: It is best not to accept delivery of a damaged item, but we realize this is not always possible. All shipping damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. In most cases we will immediately send out replacement product at no cost to our customer.

Loss: Most loss claims take approximately 7 - 10 business days to trace a lost shipment. If shipment cannot be found after this time, it will be replaced.

Can I ship with a Courier or on my own shipping account?

No, not at this time.

 

How do I track my Orders?    

When your order is shipped UPS you will receive an email with your tracking number directly from them.

 

How can some Companies offer Free Shipping when you don't?  

Shipping is never free. The company offering free shipping is being billed for your freight, and you are paying for that freight within the prices of your products. Not very accurate, and not in your best interest. Four Blooms has decided to keep things simple: we offer the best prices we can, and you pay shipping charges. Nothing is hidden.

 

Where do my orders ship from?  

All orders are processed in Redmond, WA.

 

When will I receive my Order?  

Shipping transit times will vary. Most customers will receive their order in 5 to 7 business days after the order leaves our facility.

 

Do you ship outside the continental USA?  

No, not at this time. 

 

How does your 100% Customer Satisfaction Work?  

We are so confident of the quality of our products that you can return most products within 2 weeks if you are not satisfied for any reason. All we ask is that the product be returned in saleable condition (unopened) and in its original packaging to receive full credit on the cost of goods (excludes shipping charges)! If an error has been made on a written order, we will gladly pay for re-shipment of product. Products that do not have a tamper-evident seal are not covered in this policy, due to the possibility of contamination.

 

I would like to return product beyond the allowed 2 weeks. Can this be done?  

Returns beyond the allotted return period require the specific approval of a Manager, and will be allowed solely at the discretion of Four Blooms. In all cases a 20% restocking fee will be assessed. No refunds will be given, however a credit will be applied for future orders.

 

How do I return a product?  

All product returns require authorization. Please email or call our Customer Service line to receive instructions on returning. Returns not meeting the criteria will be refused. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the consumer.

 

Can I make changes to my order after I have submitted it?  

If the order has already been processed and packaged, any addition will be considered a new order with all applicable guidelines. Similarly, should you wish to remove an item after processing, a 20% restocking fee will be applied to cover the administration and packaging costs. Please ensure all orders are accurate prior to finalizing in order to avoid this.

 

What if I want to cancel my order after it has been placed?  

You may cancel your order within 30 minutes of having placed it on the website, by phone, or by email. Orders canceled after this period of time, for any reason, will incur a $15 cancellation fee. Please e-mail your cancellation request so you will have proof. Our website charges your credit card immediately and an order cancellation involves our having to issue a credit on your credit card and we will incur transaction fees for your purchase and your cancellation. Please allow at least 5-7 business days for your credit card to be credited for the canceled order.

If delivery of an order is refused, customers will bear the entire cost of return shipment, as well as a 20% restocking fee to cover labor and packaging materials. On this there can be no exceptions.

 

Do you have a minimum order?  

No. We accept orders of any size.

 

When will my order be processed?  

We pride ourselves on a quick turnaround time. Depending on the time of year orders generally ship within 2-3 business days.

 

Are back-orders automatically filled?  

No. In the rare event of a back order, we will contact you prior to shipping, allowing you to decide how we will fill the order.

 

Do you accept verbal or faxed orders?   

Four Blooms accepts online and mailed orders only. There will be a delay in processing mailed orders paid by personal check, allowing the check to clear.

 

What methods of payment do you accept?  

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, eChecks, Bank transfers and Paypal balances through PayPal Website Payments Standard, Personal Checks, and International Money Orders.


Do you offer credit terms?  

No, not at this time. 
 

Do you have a physical store that we can visit?  

We do not have a retail store.

 

Do you have a catalog?  

At this time we do NOT have a paper catalog available. The website has the most up-to-date pricing and is th most environmentally friendly way of ordering.
   

What is an essential oil?  

Essential Oils (Aromatherapy Oils) are the highly concentrated, volatile, aromatic essences of plants. The purest essential oils come from carefully cultivated and wild grown plants from climatic and geographic regions throughout the world.

What is a carrier oil?  

Carrier oils are also referred to as vegetable oils and base oils. They have extensive applications in Aromatherapy because they are used to dilute Essential Oils or absolutes for application. They are also used in the manufacturing of cold-process soaps and for massage by Licensed Massage Therapists. Each Carrier Oil has different properties and the choice of carrier oil can depend on the therapeutic benefit being sought.


Are your oils organic?


All of our oils are 100% pure and natural, of therapeutic grade and free from any chemicals or pesticides. Although all of our products are of premium quality,  the oils are not certified organics. Our lotion is organic.


Are any of your products tested on Animals?
 

None of our products are tested on animals. Simple.

 

What are the different methods of extraction?

 

The two methods used for all the oils carried by Four Blooms are:

Steam Distillation: The most common process of extracting an essential oil is by distillation, a process that isolates the aromatic, volatile element of the plant with steam.

Cold Pressed: Expression or cold pressing is used primarily for citrus fruits like orange and lemon, where the essential oil is obtained in tiny pockets in the peel or rind. Oils extracted by cold pressing are the most volatile of essential oils and can evaporate quickly when exposed to air.

 

What are the different ways to use essential oils?  

We can find many ways in our every day activities to incorporate the benefits of aromatherapy. This handy guide will provide you with information on how you can best use essential oils to maintain your physical and emotional well being. Also, check our website for more ways to use each oil or blend.

It is well known that essential oils affect our mental and emotional states. We respond to smell more emotionally than we respond to other stimuli, because the olfactory nerves pass directly from the nose to the limbic system, which is the emotional center of the brain. Four Blooms essential oils and synergistic blends may be used in the following ways:

 

1. Massage : Massage is perhaps the oldest and simplest of all medical treatments. It is one of the easiest ways of attaining and maintaining good health.

Use a 1-3% dilution of the appropriate essential oil to the chosen carrier oil (e.g. sweet almond, apricot kernel etc) This is equal to approximately 1-3 drops to every 1 ml of carrier oil.

 

2. Bath: A romatic baths have been used to relax, revitalize and heal for centuries. For a full body bath in a tub, use up to 6 drops of the appropriate essential oil or synergistic blend. Foot or hand baths may be prepared by adding 2-3 drops of essential oil to a bowl of warm water.

 

3. Compress: Compresses are very useful for the temporary relief of skin problems, bruises and muscular aches, and for the temporary relief of painful periods. Use 5 drops of essential oil in 200 ml of water. Place a cloth in the water (hot or cold depending on the condition), wring out and lay the cloth over the affected area. Do this several times for up to 15 minutes.

 

4. Steam Inhalation: Add 3-5 drops of essential oil to a bowl of steaming water. Place a towel over your head and the bowl and inhale the vapors for up to 10 minutes. Keep your face about 10 inches away from the surface of the water. The eyes should kept shut during inhalation. Steam inhalations are a traditional home remedy to ease congestion in the respiratory passage associated with colds, coughs, catarrh and sinusitis.

 

5. Direct Inhalation: Apply 3-4 drops of undiluted essential oil to a tissue or cotton ball or pad; hold this near the nose for a few moments while you inhale the vapors. You can then tuck the tissue or cotton ball into your bra or shirt pocket.

 

6. Atomizers: Create the perfect ambience in your home, car or workplace by using your favorite essential oil or blend in an electric or candle vaporizer.

 

7. Skin contact: Many of the specially created blends are particularly effective if 1-2 drops are put on a cotton pad and placed against the sole of the foot, inside the sock.

 

8. Body Wash: Using pure Castile soap, add 1-2 drops of essential oil per 10ml of soap. Use a loofah to work up a good lather.



Can your oils be ingested?

Our Essential and Carrier Oils are pure, and in most cases, food grade. However, we do NOT recommend the ingestion of essential oils. They are highly concentrated and have the capacity to cause serious damage if used internally without the necessary expertise required in administering it.

 

Why should certain oils be avoided during pregnancy?  

Certain essentials oils are considered too powerful for use during pregnancy as they may stimulate the production of certain hormones, and can encourage bleeding. Please consult your physician or a reputable aromatherapist before using any essential oil.

It is recommended that you avoid lavender, and rose essential oils during the first 3 to 4 months of pregnancy. The following essential oils be avoided throughout the entire pregnancy: Basil, cedarwood, clary sage, fennel, jasmine, j uniper, marjoram, myrrh, peppermint, rosemary, sage, thyme. Use half the recommended dosage when you do use essential oils.

 

What is the difference between an essential oil and a fragrant/ce oil?  

Essential oils essences are expressed directly from plants or plant parts and are all natural, whereas fragrant/ce oils are manufactured in a lab from different aromatic chemicals. The law does not require a fragrant/ce manufacturer to disclose all ingredients despite the fact that many of the chemicals used are known toxins.

 

How do I store my essential oils once I have purchased them?

It is recommended that oils should be stored at 20 degree celsius (room temperature) and out of direct sunlight. The oils will have therapeutic benefit for 5-7 years if stored properly, after this time, they will still smell great but may not have any healing properties.

First, please make sure that whatever browser that you are using is up to date. In some cases certain versions of Safari and Firefox for the Macintosh may cause problems for certain users. If this happens to you we recommend placing your order using an up to date version of Microsoft Internet Explorer for the Mac or using a PC to place the order. If the problem still persists please contact us.

How can I change my Delivery Address?

Your delivery address can be changed when you have completed your order and are getting ready to checkout. Simply do the following:

• Click on "check out". You should now see your current delivery address.
• Click on "change address". Enter the information for your new delivery address and click the "continue" button.
• You should now see your revised delivery address listed.

How do I change my Billing Address?

Your Billing address can be changed when you have completed your order and are getting ready to checkout.

• Click on "Check Out"
• Continue until you are at the Payment Information page (Step 2)
• Click on "Change Address"
• Enter the information for your new billing address and click on the "Continue" button
• You should now see your revised billing address listed

How do I change my old email address to a new one?

• Log in with your old email address and password
• Choose "View or change my account information"
• In the E-mail address field, replace the old e-mail address with the new one
• Choose the "Continue" button

How do I change my password?

• Log in with your old email address and password
• Choose "Change my account password"
• Fill in the necessary information and choose the "Continue" button

Do I need an account to browse or shop?

You do not need an account to browse, however in order to purchase you must set up an account.

How do I sign up for your newsletter?

• Click the Newsletter option on the website
• Enter your email address and click the "Continue" button.
